FAQ

We’re excited to hear that you want to know more about our hunts. Below is a list of our most frequently asked questions from hunters in the past. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, head over to the contact page.

How do I get there?

Guests can conveniently drive straight to the camp at Blue Lakes Resort, Manitoba (see map below). If flying, guests can fly to Winnipeg, MB, Minot, ND or Regina, SK and rent a vehicle from there, then drive the remaining distance to camp.  The shortest is from Winnipeg at 4.5-5hrs drive time to camp.
Please see the map on the contact page.

Is fishing available?

There is fishing available right at camp as it is on Blue Lake. There are also numerous lakes in the area and hunters in camp have had good success fishing from the shores nearby. Fishing is the responsibility of the hunter, however, as well as license purchase and cleaning.

Gratuities?

This is a frequently asked question which can be a sensitive topic. Over the years it has become standard practice for hunters to tip their guides. The average amount of tip varies but is generally between 5-10% of the hunt price. The decision of how much to give, however, is entirely up to each hunter and should reflect their perception of the success of the hunt and expertise of their guide.
